Over the past couple of years I have been wondering why it seems like our country is going so haywire.
We have this constant warring happening between political parties, races, church denominations, etc, and I wondered: "Is this how our country started?"
Our country has had the fastest growth of any other nation in all of time. Besides the growth of wealth, power and influence, we have also been a country that has had the greatest opportunity to be missionaries all over the world.
Even though I love my country and I would not want to live anywhere else in the world, we are slowly seeing the foundation of what made this country great crumble under our feet.
Too many Christians look at this and ignore it saying that "It is the last days and there is nothing we can do about it."
This statement is true if it is the last days. Unfortunately the Bible is clear that no man knows when that day will be. Even though we are to be ready for the Lord's return at all times, I believe that we are more than stewards of our own life. I know that we can leave an awesome legacy through our own life, but what about the life of our children and grand children? Do we not want the same opportunity for them to minister to the lost?
I want to expand on this but there is so much that one blog entry would be impossible. One thing I would like to encourage is for you to listen to the attached sermon by Jonathan Kahn. This message was given at last years Inaugural Prayer Breakfast and I believe is very important for everyone to hear.
Even though it is almost 40 minutes long, I encourage you to take the time to listen and pray. I believe the founders of our country were inspired by God, and the Constitutional Republic that was created can be restored for God and Country!
